Thursday: Nairobi

We arrived in Nairobi around 10 pm tonight, Kenya time (2 pm Indy time), after smooth connections in Detroit and Amsterdam.  The Detroit-Amsterdam and Amsterdam-Nairobi legs were each around 8 hours, with the entire flight covering around 8,800 miles.  Our driver for the week, Francis, long-time friend, in-country travel agent, and lead driver for Amani groups in Kenya, was at the airport waiting for us and all our bags.  After a quick stop at the Nakummat for groceries -- Nairobi's version of a combo WalMart & Marsh -- we're settled in at the Natural Oaks Condos and looking forward to a great day tomorrow.

By the way, for anyone still trying to connect the dots among Amani, New Life Homes, the beads, our family, and the babies, here's a recent TV story from Winston-Salem that does a good job of pulling it all together:  http://www.wxii12.com/video/30421908/detail.html.
